Project turns out differently than pattern



Make sure to use the weight of yarn stated in the pattern

In each pattern there is a notation stating the weight of the yarn used.

The weight of the yarn refers to the thickness of the yarn used

Yarn Size Suggested Hook Size



There are seven thickness/weights of yarn 1 Superfine 1-3

2 Fine 3-5

3 Light 5-7

4 Medium 7-9

5 Bulky 9-11

6 Superbulky 11-17

7 Jumbo 17 +


That being said it depends on your tension as to the size of hook used however if just begining to crochet make sure to use the size of hook stated in the pattern

Make sure to read pattern in its entirely before starting the project

Make sure when crocheting to put hook through both strands of the stitch unless otherwise stated for specific stitch and pattern

Project gets wider or narrower



It is easy to add extra or decrease stitches when crocheting.

Make sure to count stitches and rows in the pattern to maintain accuracy

Make sure that it is understood that the instructions are in US terms or UK terms.
