Green Baby Hat

This hat combines knitting and crocheting.

Hook size: 3.5 mm circular knitting needles 4.5 mm

Weight: 3

Foundation row: chain 4

Row 1: in the fourth chain from the hook work 11 double crochet around row and join with a slip stitch

Row 2: chain 3 (this counts as first double crochet) then *work a front post double crochet in the next space, in the same space work a double crochet* repeat from* to* across row and join with a slip stitch

Row 3: chain 3 (this counts as first double crochet) then work a front post double crochet in the next space, in the same space work a double crochet * repeat from* to *across row and join with a slip stitch

Row 4 to 11: chain 3 (this counts as first double crochet)
* work a front post double crochet in the next space in the following space work a double crochet * repeat from* to* across row and join with a slip stitch

If desired the hat can be complete at this point or the knitted ribbing can be added.

To work the ribbing: pick up the back loop of the last row and knit a k1 P1 ribbing for 5 rows and cast off.
