Crunchy Stitch Dish cloth
Hook size: 4.5 mm
Weight: 4 100% cotton yarn was used for the project
This stitch is created with multiples of 2 + 1
Foundation Row: chain 31
Row 1: slip stitch in 2 nd chain from hook* 1 half double crochet in the next chain, repeat from the * across the row. Turn.
Row 2: ch 2 ( counts as first half double crochet) * slip stitch in the next half double crochet. 1 half double crochet in the next slip stitch, repeat from * across row and turn.
Row 3: slip stitch in half double crochet, 1 half double crochet in next slip stitch. Repeat from* across row. Slip stitch in top of turning chain.
Rows 4 - 25: repeat rows 2 and 3 for pattern.
Edging Rows
Row 1 and 2: single crochet around dishcloth working 1 single crochet chain 2 1 single crochet in each corner.
Row 3: single crochet around project in the opposite direction than previously.(this is known as the crab stitch).
Weave in all ends in at least three different directions to ensure that the ends of the project don't come loose through use.
