This stitch is worked in multiples of 8 plus 1

Foundation Row: chain 41

Row 1: single crochet across row and turn work

Row 2: * chain 5 skip 4 spaces 1 slip stitch in next stitch, chain 5 skip 2 spaces, then slip stitch, chain 3 skip 2 spaces and slip stitch in next stitch.* Repeat from *to * end of row, chain 3 and turn.

Row 3: * 4 double crochet in chain 3 space, chain 1, 1 double crochet in middle of chain 5 then chain 1* repeat from * to * across row at end of row, 1 double crochet into last stitch. Chain 3 and turn.

Row 4: * skip 2 stitches then 1 slip stitch in next stitch, chain 5 skip 4 spaces then work 1 slip stitch in next stitch in next stitch* repeat from * to* across row chain 3 and turn

Row 5: * work 1 double crochet in middle of chain 5 space then chain 1, work 4 double crochet in middle of chain 3 space then chain 1* repeat from * to * across row chain 3 and turn.

Repeat Rows 2 - 5 for pattern.

Edging: single crochet around project 4 times.
