Crocheted runner slipper

Hook size: 3.125 mm


Weight: 4

Acrylic or cotton can be used for this project.

Sole:

Make 4. 2 for each slipper

Foundation Row: chain 25

Row 1: single crochet on both sides of the foundation row working 3 single crochets in the corners and join with a slip stitch

Row 2: single crochet around row working 3 single crochets in the corners and join with a slip stitch

Row 3 - 8: repeat row 2 until the sole is the right size for the foot you are making the slippers for.

Base of slipper:

Row 1: single crochet around the edges of 2 soles joining them together with a slip stitch

Row 2 - 3: single crochet around row and join with a slip stitch

Top of foot:

Row 1: in back loops only single crochet around row and join with a slip stitch

Row 2: double crochet into the spaces ×6 then double crochet 2 together x5 into the spaces then double crochet x6 into the last 6 spaces

Row 3: double crochet into the first 6 spaces then crochet 2 together x3 then double crochet x6 into the last 6 spaces.

Row 4: single crochet the 2 sides together

Back of the slipper:

Row 1: single crochet 2 spaces before the edges of the top of foot and in every space around the back of the slipper until 2 spaces past the edge of the foot on the other side.

Row 2: crochet first 2 spaces together then single crochet
around row to the last 2 spaces and single crochet them together.

Row 3-7: repeat row 2
Row 8-12: single crochet across row
Row 13: with a different color of yarn single crochet across row

Tongue:

Row 1: double crochet evenly across the top of the foot

Row 2-5: double crochet across row

Row 6: double crochet 2 together then double crochet to last 2 spaces and double crochet together

Row 7: single crochet 2 together across row

Row 8: with a different color of yarn single crochet around row

For laces:

Make a chain of 140 or longer

With a yarn needle position the "laces" as if for a running shoe

For Emblem:

Foundation Row: chain 2

Row 1: double crochet into the second chain from hook at least 12 times.

Row 2: single crochet x2 into each space around row and join with a slip stitch

Sew onto slipper onto side of the back of the slipper

For the stitching:

On the top of the foot piece

Row 1: sew a running stitch around the back of the slipper starting and ending at the second space from where the top of the slipper started

Row 2: sew a running stitch around the back of the slipper starting and ending at the same space as where the top of the slipper started

Weave in all ends in at least three different directions to ensure that the ends of the project don't come loose through use

Repeat for the second slipper.
