Hook size: 2.5 mm
Weight: 4 medium 100% cotton yarn was used for the project so that it can be washed and reused
Foundation Row: chain 26
Row 1: single crochet around both sides of the foundation row and join with a slip stitch
Row 2 - 4: single crochet around row working 3 single crochets in the corners of the ear protector and join with a slip stitch
Attach a button to either side of the protector
Weave in all ends of the project in at least three different directions to ensure that the ends of the project don't come loose through use
This is a good project for donation to any essential workers that must wear a mask for extended periods of time while they are working with the public.
If they are made with 100 % cotton yarn they can be used again after washing following the WHO guidelines.
They can have the size adjusted for a better fit by adjusting the foundation chain size.
