Flower (make 7)

Foundation Row: chain 4 and join with a slip stitch

Row 1: * chain 3, slip stitch into loop* three times for a total of 4 Chain 3 loops. This forms the basis for first row of petals.

Row 2: slip stitch, chain 1 into first chain 3 loop. In each loop: half double crochet, double crochet, half double crochet, chain 1, slip stitch. Slip stitch, chain 1 into next loop and repeat.

Row 3: chain 1, turn work over.* insert hook, slip stitch into middle of the back of the petal. Chain 3* repeat* five times for a total of 6 Chain 3 loops.

Row 4: Slip stitch, chain 1 into first chain 3 loop. In each loop: half double crochet, 12 double crochet,half double crochet, chain 1, slip stitch. Slip stitch, chain 1 into next loop and repeat.

Row 5: chain 1, turn flower over,* insert hook, slip stitch into middle of the back of the petal. Chain 3* repeat * 7 times 8 chain 3 loops.

Row 6: slip stitch, chain 1 into first chain 3 loop. In each loop: half double crochet, 3 double crochet, chain 1, slip stitch. Slip stitch, chain 1 into next loop and repeat.

To finish the flower fasten off the yarn leaving a long tail to sew onto your finished basket.

Foundation Row: chain 4 Join with a slip stitch creating a ring

Row 1: double crochet 8 times into centre of ring and join with a slip stitch

Row 2: single crochet twice into each double crochet around row and join with a slip stitch

Row 3: 3 double crochet twice into each single crochet around row and join with a slip stitch

Row 4 and 5: single crochet into each single crochet around row and join with a slip stitch

Row 6: single crochet into back loops only around row and join with a slip stitch

Row 7: double crochet into single crochet around row and join with a slip stitch

Row 8: single crochet around row and join with a slip stitch

Row 9: chain 3* front post triple crochet around next double crochet 2 rows below pulling up to current level of Work, dc in next single crochet * repeat from * to * across row and join with a slip stitch.

Row 10 chain 1, single crochet in each double crochet and in each treble crochet around row and join with a slip stitch

Row 11: chain 3* double crochet in next stitch of previous row, for treble crochet next double crochet 2 rows below* repeat from * to* across row and join with a slip stitch

Repeat rows 8 - 11 until project is project is long enough to cover toilet paper roll.

Weave in all ends in at least three different directions to ensure that the ends of the project don't come loose through use.
