The sample shown used a 4.5 mm crochet hook and 100 % cotton with a weight of 4.
When crocheting a multi row circle:
Start with a chain 2 or a magic circle as desired.
(Sample used a chain 2)
Into the second chain from hook work 10 to 14 double crochets. (Picture 1). Join with a slip stitch.
For the second round or row double crochet twice into each space around(Picture 2). Join with a slip stitch.
For the third round or row double crochet twice into the first space and once into the second space. Repeat around row and join with a slip stitch. (Picture 3).
For the fourth row double crochet twice into the first space and once into the next two spaces. Repeat around row and join with a slip stitch
For the fifth row double crochet twice into the first space and once into the next three spaces. Repeat around row and join with a slip stitch.
For the subsequent rows increase the single double crochet count to the spacing.
