Hook size: 4.5 mm

Foundation Row: chain 30

Row 1: chain 3(this counts as first double crochet)double crochet into the same space 3 more times into the first chain of the foundation row, chain 3 and double crochet into the same space* skip 4 chains and double crochet 4 times into the next chain of the foundation row chain 3 and put 1 double crochet into the same space* repeat from * to * around row. Work on both sides of the foundation row.

Row 2: chain 3(this counts as first double crochet)Double crochet into the chain 3 space from the previous row 4 times, chain 3 then double crochet into the same space* in the next chain three space work 4 double crochet. Chain 3 and double crochet all into the same space* repeat from* to* across row and join with a slip stitch and turn.

Row 3 - 11: repeat row 2 for pattern

Row 12 - 17: single crochet around top of the bag and join with a slip stitch

Row 18: single crochet 10 stitches, chain 20 stitches single crochet 10 stitches chain 20 stitches and join with a slip stitch

Row 19 - 20: single crochet around handles. Weave in the tail in at least three different directions to ensure that the ends of the project don't come loose through use.
